What resolution to use?
Generally speaking the resolution you need on a banner or skin is dependant upon the distance away the banner or skin is intended to be viewed from. Due to the cost variations in printing low, medium or high resolution it is important to choose and use the best resolution for the job. This also goes for the environment you plan to display the banner or skin. Skins and banners are available in a range of substrates that are designed for a range of environments from outdoors in full sun and weather to indoor under controlled conditions.

Varied resolutions are often used due to the economies of less ink required for signs viewed from a distance. Large, roadside hoardings have a large area to cover and excess resolution equates to excess paints used and unnecessary costs.

Artwork
Preparation of your artwork is similar to when preparing for conventional offset printing. Images should be supplied to a minimum of 300dpi in CMYK mode for optimum reproduction. When supplying your files please either convert your fonts to paths, where possible, or supply the fonts used to ensure the integrity of the print job.
Artwork can be supplied in most Mac and PC programs or as high resolution PDF files with fonts embedded.
